Chiranjeevi Receives ANR Award, Opens Up About Past Controversy

Megastar Chiranjeevi received the prestigious ANR Award from Amitabh Bachchan at a recent ceremony. He expressed happiness and pride, stating that this award is particularly meaningful to him, even more so than previous honors like the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan.

During his speech, Chiranjeevi referenced the saying “Inta Gelichi Racha Gelavatam,” explaining that while the Padma awards represent achievements on a national level, the ANR Award feels like a victory within his own community, the Telugu Film Industry.

Chiranjeevi also addressed the past controversy surrounding the “Legendary Award” from the Vajrotsavam event. He revealed that although he was pleased to receive the award back then, he chose not to accept it because some people were unhappy. He decided to keep it in a time capsule and only claim it when he felt deserving.

Now, with the ANR Award, Chiranjeevi feels a sense of accomplishment in his own industry. He shared that receiving this award from Amitabh Bachchan and with the support of his friend Nagarjuna has made him feel like he has finally won recognition at home.
