Will Chiranjeevi Do "The Family Man" Now?

Long back, directors Raj Nidimoru and DK revealed that they had initially approached Megastar Chiranjeevi to play the lead in “The Family Man” movie. But then, after listening to the story, Chiranjeevi advised them to convert it into a web series rather than a commercial film, and the rest is history. Here comes the latest discussion, however.

Now that the Hindi film Mirzapur has clicked at the box office, collecting around ₹100 crores in the first weekend, surely many are looking at converting the superhit web series into theatrical movies. However, some say that rather than creating the films with the original cast of the series, a new cast on the screen might work differently. That brings us to the discussion if Raj & DK would take off “The Family Man” theatrical version with Chiranjeevi now.

However, if Manoj Bajpayee himself plays the lead in the theatrical version of “The Family Man”, if any, the Hindi belt might reward the film with a lot of profits. But then, as Chiranjeevi is already doing a similar kind of role in “Kaaka” movie, surely he too might not be interested in this web-series-to-screen movie. That said, the success of Mirzapur will give rise to many web series turning into silver-screen moments now.
