A major discussion took place in the Telugu film industry on May 25, 2026, regarding the ongoing percentage issue faced by single screen theatres. Several industry leaders met Chiranjeevi and explained the problems currently affecting theatre owners and exhibitors.

After carefully listening to all the concerns, Chiranjeevi said that justice should be done to everyone involved in the industry. He explained that this discussion is not about one film or one sector alone, but about the welfare of the entire Telugu cinema industry.

Chiranjeevi reminded everyone that the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce is the highest decision-making body in the Telugu film industry. He said all members should respect and follow the decisions taken by the Chamber. According to him, once the Chamber forms a committee and takes a decision after consulting everyone, no one should publicly oppose it in front of the media.

He also mentioned that public disagreements could send a wrong message that the Telugu film industry is not united. Chiranjeevi stressed the importance of maintaining unity and mutual understanding among producers, distributors, exhibitors, and theatre owners.

During the meeting, representatives from single screen theatres reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the work and results of some previous committees. Chiranjeevi said he understood their fears and concerns. However, he expressed confidence in the new committee formed by the Chamber.

He said the committee would carefully study all issues and submit a proper report before June 30. The main aim of the committee is to create a percentage model that is fair for producers, distributors, and exhibitors. Chiranjeevi also promised to personally support the process and ensure the committee completes its work on time.

The members who attended the meeting expressed happiness after hearing Chiranjeevi’s response. They appreciated him for spending time understanding their problems and giving assurance that justice would be done to everyone. They also said they would discuss the meeting details with other association members and give their approval within 24 hours.

Several important personalities attended the meeting, including Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, KL Narayana, Suniel Narang, Bharat Narang, and Telangana Film Chamber President Shekar.
