Insider Update: Vishwambhara Eyeing This 2026 Date

Vishwambara, which features megastar Chiranjeevi in a title role and the likes of Trisha and Aashika Ranganath as heroines, is directed by Bimbisara fame Vashishta. While the film was supposed to hit cinemas in 2025, it missed out on various dates due to the pending VFX work.

Many thought that the film would hit cinemas in the January 2026 season, but they too got ruled out. After Chota K Naidu’s words at a recent press meet, it has created huge tension around “Vishwambhara” as many are expecting that the ₹400 crores project is getting delayed. However, the team has already locked an ideal date for the release, as per reports brewing.

An insider update regarding the possible date is giving a huge sigh of relief to fans. Though they are not publicising the date, both UV Creations and Megastar Chiranjeevi are said to have locked July 9th as the release date of the film. Already, the majority of the VFX work has been wrapped, and only a few CG shots need to get done if the report is anything to go by.

The film Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu was started after Vishwambhara was in progress, and it got released too. At one point, it sounded like even KS Bobby’s upcoming film with Megastar might get wrapped, while Vishwambhara is still under production. However, it looks like Vishwabhara will come in the middle of 2026, while the Chiru-Bobby movie will hit cinemas for Sankranthi 2027.
