Vyjayanthi Movies Plans 'Indra' Re-Release On Megastar's Birthday!

Vyjayanthi Movies is one of the biggest production banners in this country. They have been in the industry for the past 4-5 decades and they have bankrolled a lot of huge projects. Known for their production values, this production banner constantly drives towards excellence. Ashwini Dutt started this banner and it is his daughters Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt who are taking it forward now.

The prestigious banner completed 50 golden years in the industry and they have produced many super hit films with Megastar Chiranjeevi including 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari', 'Choodalani Vundi', 'Indra' and 'Jai Chirnajeeva'. With Megastar's birthday arriving on 22nd August, they decided to re-release 'Indra' which was a record-breaking success during the time of its release.

B Gopal directed it while Mani Sharma gave the music. Today marks the completion of 22 years of 'Indra' and was the Highest Grossing South Indian movie back in 2002. The movie had cinematography by VSR Swamy. Aarthi Agarwal and Sonali Bendre played heroine roles in this super hit flick.

'Indra' won three state Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South with Chiranjeevi winning both the Nandi Award for Best Actor and the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu. The excitement of Mega fans is quite high as they get to witness this mass masala entertainer on the big screens once again.
