Did Chiyaan Vikram Just Say No to SSMB29? Here’s Why

In a surprising twist that has caught the attention of fans, Chiyaan Vikram has reportedly turned down a role in the much-anticipated SSMB29, the globe-trotting jungle adventure featuring Mahesh Babu and directed by SS Rajamouli. Despite having delivered powerful negative roles in films like Aparichithudu and Thangalaan, Vikram appears to be stepping away from playing villains for the time being.

SSMB29 has already completed two major schedules in Hyderabad and Odisha, with the third phase beginning today. There had been strong buzz about Vikram being approached for an important role, believed to be the antagonist. However, fresh reports reveal that Vikram politely declined the offer, stating he is not interested in taking up negative roles at this stage of his career.

With Vikram opting out, the team has reportedly reached out to R Madhavan for the same part. Discussions are said to be ongoing, and fans are eagerly waiting for confirmation. If Madhavan comes on board, it will certainly add a new dimension to the film’s lineup.

SSMB29 also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and is being made on a huge budget of Rs 1,000 crore. With Rajamouli directing and MM Keeravani composing the music, the film continues to generate massive interest, even without Vikram on board.
