Rashmika’s Film Badly Ignored In Telugu States

After being hailed as a national crush due to the heavy craze she amassed on social media, star heroine Rashmika Mandanna has come up with blockbuster movies like Pushpa, Pushpa 2, Animal and Thama as well. Despite having no glamour touch or usual commercial appeal, her film “The Girlfriend” also won her lots of attention as an actress. Owing to all of that, many thought that her latest Hindi film would do terrific at the Telugu states box office. So, how is it doing?

Rashmika Mandanna’s latest movie “Cocktail 2”, starring Shahid Kapoor as the male lead, which is releasing this Friday, June 19th, is not even seeing at least 10-15 bookings per screen in a mega city like Hyderabad. Despite being 18+ content, thanks to the lip locks, bikini treats and glamour pouring by Rashmika and Kriti Sanon, the film is not witnessing massive footfalls at the moment. Also, the makers have taken the film quite lightly when it comes to promoting in the South. If the situation in Hyderabad is like this, in Vijayawada and Vizag, there are no takers for now. Though Vizag has more screens, they are yet to be filled by the North Indian crowds present in the port city.

Well, except for some star heroes like Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR and Ram Charan, who have got national-level craze, for others, whether they are star heroes or heroines, the openings are largely connected to the songs and promotional material. For now, Cocktail 2 songs have not made the noise in terms of music and catchy lyrics. They are talked about only regarding the glamour treat of the two leading ladies. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons Rashmika’s movie is not getting attention in Telugu states.

On the other hand, some say that maybe Rashmika’s bold and glamorous avatar is also not working as expected, as her local fans might have been badly hurt by that.
