Well, both the films are preparing for release on August 14, let us have a look at the box office prospect.

Rajinikanth’s new movie Coolie is creating a big buzz before release, beating War 2 in advance ticket sales. In North America, Coolie has already sold over $1 million worth of tickets for its premiere shows, while War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is far behind with around $200,000–$300,000 in sales. Some reports say Coolie’s total overseas pre-sales have already crossed $2 million.

In Kerala, the response is massive. Within just 5 hours of bookings opening, the movie sold nearly 200,000 tickets and collected around ₹3 crore. Fans rushed to theatres, showing the star power of Rajinikanth and the excitement for director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film.

Trade experts believe Coolie could open to ₹80 crore or more worldwide on its first day, thanks to strong sales both in India and abroad. In comparison, War 2’s bookings are growing slowly and are far below Coolie’s numbers so far.
