1st Week BO: What’s The Status of Coolie And War 2?

The Indian book office witnessed two superstars coming together this Independence Day week in the form of the clash between Coolie and War 2. Put the film released at the box office on August 14, and I had pretty decent opening weekend, which was primarily due to the holiday season.

However, when it comes to the opening week run at the box office, it needs to be set that neither film good capitalise on the momentum that was generated.

By the time of the completion of the first extended week at the box office, these two films have posted Rs 450 crore(Coolie) and Rs 300 crore (War 2).

These numbers might sound impressive on paper, but at a fundamental level, this is not what is expected for these two films that were made on a huge scale. As shocking, as it may sound, both the films are heading towards flop status at the box office.

In particular, the NTR and Hrithik Roshan film is heading towards one of the biggest disasters of all time as the valued business of the film is in excess of ₹500 crore. The theatrical revenues are going to fall much shorter than that.

Same as the case with Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj film as well, considering the great things were expected from it, but the action entertainer could not generate significant attraction due to weak reviews. This is the weakest work of Lokesh Kanagaraj date.
