Daaku Maharaaj arriving on OTT with added footage!

Nandamuri Balakrishna had a pretty decent theatre outing recently in the form of Daku Maharaj, which turned out to be an impressive grosser at the global box office. The discussion is about the OTT release of the film, which looks very much on the cards now.

Now that the theatrical run is done and dusted, the expectation is on the OTT release of the film as it has been over three weeks since the release of the film in theatres.

In this context, the latest developments are suggesting that the film will release on its official OTT streaming partner, Netflix, and and what could be considered a bonus, it will be coming with additional footage.

It is being established that the makers are riding another 20 minutes of footage to the film, and this extended version will be streaming on Netflix following the premiere.

Of late, it has become increasingly common for Netflix to somehow negotiate these extended footage releases on their platform. The OTT earlier made it happen with their recent film, Pushpa 2. This film had also released with additional footage of around 21 minutes, which could be considered a bonus OTT prospect of sorts.

A similar formula is being applied in the case of Daku Maharaj now as this film is also releasing with additional footage of 20 minutes. This extended cat will have additional footage when compared to the theatrical print.

Earlier, the makers had kept the theatrical copy within tight time frames in order to keep things, crisp, and compact. But with the OTT release on the cards, now we can expect them to go a fair bit aggressive when it comes to adding additional footage.
