The romantic drama Deewana is slowly gaining momentum at the box office. The film, starring young actor Harshith Reddy, was released in theatres on June 20 and has been receiving positive feedback from audiences. Produced by Vasudev Koppineni and Sridevi Karyampudi under the Arha Media and V Studios banners, the movie marks the debut of actress Smeha Manimegalai and director Srikanth Sangishetty.

Speaking about the film’s success, producer Sridevi Karyampudi said that the response from viewers has been very encouraging. According to her, the second half of the movie is one of its biggest strengths. She explained that the story becomes more engaging after the interval and showcases the hero’s transformation along with several emotional moments.

Sridevi also expressed disappointment that the film received an A certificate, which limited its reach among family audiences. She said the team was busy with promotions and did not get enough time to seek a review of the certification. Despite this challenge, the makers are happy that audiences who watched the film are appreciating it.

She praised viewers and reviewers for not revealing the film’s major interval twist. According to her, the story becomes even stronger after that key moment. She also highlighted Harshith Reddy’s dedication to promotions, saying he has been actively meeting fans and visiting theatres and colleges to support the film.

Producer Vasudev Koppineni said the team had planned special premieres before release, but delays in certification affected those plans. He added that many people initially thought Deewana was only a youth-oriented film, while it is actually a complete entertainer with romance, friendship, family emotions, and meaningful messages.

Vasudev said audience support is growing every day, and collections are steadily increasing. Positive word-of-mouth is helping the film attract more viewers, and theatres are seeing better occupancy with each passing day.

The producers also reduced ticket prices to make the film more accessible. They believe the coming weekend will be important for the movie’s performance. While Deewana has already given them creative satisfaction, they are confident it will also bring financial success in the days ahead.

The team is now looking forward to reaching a wider audience and continuing the film’s successful journey.
