Other day, when Delhi Police tweeted that the hype around the missing girls in Delhi is being pushed through paid promotions, many have wondered what they are even talking about. Police warned that they won’t tolerate someone creating panic for the sake of monetary gains. And it took a day for people to understand exactly what was going on.

News is coming from Mumbai circles right now that a big production house whose film deals with the cases of missing girls in Delhi, and which was released last week, has been resorting to some paid promotions about missing girls, so that their movie will get a lot of attention. At the same time, another film that is associated with another big production house and will be released on OTT soon, also deals with the same subject. To get attention for their projects, they are engineering this paid promotion of missing girls, say insiders.

Well, it has come to a situation where films used to talk about the real life crisis, to the point of creating crises in real life to sell their movies. Many are wondering why these production houses are also busy spreading fake narratives about the propaganda movies they make, which have a sense of love for the neighbourhood country. This trend is quite bad for the film industry altogether.
