Devara: Part 1's Fierce Posters Grab Attention

"Devara: Part 1," starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, was released in theaters on September 27, 2024. The film opened strongly, earning ₹12.5 crore on its first Monday after a successful weekend. Over the weekend, it collected ₹38.2 crore on Saturday and ₹39.9 crore on Sunday, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹173.1 crore. Directed by Koratala Siva, Jr NTR plays dual roles as Devara and Varadha, while Janhvi portrays Thangam, his love interest. Saif Ali Khan appears as the villain, Bhaira.

Despite limited buzz for the Hindi version, "Devara" performed well in mass circuits, especially after a slow start in major national chains. The upcoming Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Wednesday is expected to boost ticket sales further, as long as the film maintains steady numbers in the following days.

The story of "Devara" is set post-independence and follows a man determined to protect his community from threats. He confronts his former friend Bhaira, who is involved in illegal activities. As the plot unfolds, Devara teams up with the Indian Coast Guard and fights against Bhaira’s criminal plans, while his son Varadha gets caught in the conflict.

"Devara: Part 1" marks both Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's debut in Telugu cinema. Meanwhile Devara's fierce posters from the film are doing rounds and making fans go gaga.
