Bollywood Is Back With Another Sequel-Remake

Bollywood cinema is known for remaking some of the South super hit films. Many times, they tasted success and a lot of times, they tasted failures. However, they continue the trend. Interestingly, the Hindi cinema is following a trend of remaking a film from other language and then, making sequels for them which in turn the sequels are also the remakes.

We have seen such cases in the form of Baaghi franchise. The three parts of the films are the remakes of Varsham, Kshanam and Tadakha. Now, the same is being implemented by Karan Johar, for his Dharma productions banner.

He launched Jahnvi Kapoor with the film Dhadak, the remake of the film Sairat. The film was released in 2018. Now, the director-producer is back with a sequel for Dhadak. The director, cast and crew will be completely new.

This time, six years later, Dhadak 2 will be the remake of Pariyerum Perumal, a Tamil blockbuster, where a boy and girl from different castes fall in love. Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, will release this year in November.

Dhadak is also on the honor killings concept. Now, the sequel is also on the similar lines.
