Loukya Entertainments Announces ‘Dhandoraa’ for Christmas Release

After delivering the National Award-winning Colour Photo and the blockbuster Bedurulanka 2012, producer Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni of Loukya Entertainments is back with another compelling project - Dhandoraa. The film, written and directed by Murali Kanth, is officially slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on December 25, marking a dramatic close to the year.

The announcement poster has already become the talk of Telugu Cinéma circles. Featuring a freshly dug grave with the line “A dramatic end to this year,” it stands out for its symbolic minimalism and bold creative statement. Without revealing much about the plot, the image evokes curiosity - suggesting that Dhandoraa may carry both emotional gravity and sharp social commentary.

According to the makers, the film explores caste-based discrimination and the violent backlash faced by individuals who challenge upper-caste dominance or defy traditional social structures. Set in a rural Telangana backdrop, Dhandoraa interweaves satire, dark humour, and human emotion while reflecting on long-standing customs and beliefs.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Shivaji, Navdeep, Nandu, Ravi Krishna, Manika Chikkala, Mounica Reddy, Bindu Madhavi, Raadhya, and Aditi Bhavaraju. Mark K. Robin scores the music, adding his trademark blend of emotional and atmospheric soundscapes. The technical crew includes Venkat R. Sakhamuri as cinematographer, Srujana Adusumilli as editor, Kranthi Priyam as art director, and Edward Stevenson Pereji as executive producer.
