Khushbu Points Finger At National Awards

Senior actress Khushbu Sundar has now pointed fingers at the National Awards when quizzed about Dhanush’s Raayan getting a National Award. Without mincing her words, she immediately questioned the criteria that’s being considered while giving National Awards, as if she doesn’t know that.

Apparently, Khushbu stated that she doesn’t know the criteria for giving National Awards. “Sometimes I also wonder what those criteria are. I’ve seen an Odia film that’s far better than many other movies that were released last year. While that film deserves awards, I wonder why it’s not even recognised,” said Khushbu. While she didn’t take the name of Dhanush’s Rayan that got a Best Regional Film (Tamil) award, it looks like indirectly she’s poking fun at it.

There were times when National Awards were dubbed as completely wrong, and trophies were given based on the committee and ruling party’s liking; Khushbu didn’t even utter a word when Congress was in power, as she belongs to the same party. However, now, when the film “Rayan” got a National Award for Dhanush, she’s wondering about the genuineness of the awards. Her comments are not going well with the fans of Dhanush and other folks.
