While Telugu stars are taking 2–3 years to deliver one big-ticket film, Tamil hero Dhanush is quietly doing it all, including Acting, Directing, and writing. And now, even backing female-led stories. While our stars take three years for one film, Dhanush is doing three roles in one year. So, how is this going well for him, when our stars are struggling to get things right?

In fact, Dhanush isn’t chasing scale every time. He’s choosing rooted stories along with Mid-range budgets and Strong writing. Films that don’t depend only on VFX or massive setups are giving him huge flexibility. He can move faster, experiment more, and stay consistent it terms of delivering almost 2-3 films in a year. Compare that with Telugu big stars. Pan-India ambition has changed the game for us, with even Tier-2 heroes attempting only Pan-India films but nothing lower.

When every film is designed to be a ₹1000 crore film, the process becomes heavier. Delays become normal. Even simple scenes take days. Add date issues, financial pressure, and post-production timelines, and a single film stretches into years. Dhanush is playing a different game. He balances scale with simplicity. One big film, one smaller film. And as a director and writer, he has more control with faster decisions and tighter execution.

When films from other stars are not even available, Dhanush’s films are continuously doing good at the box office, with only limited collections, then doing well on OTT and becoming regularly consumable entertainment for the audience. Well, that’s where he got things right.
