His Music Will Guide Me: Dhanush

Multiple National Award winner Dhanush is currently working in his own directorial venture, Sekhar Kammula's 'Kubera' and 'Yuganiki Okkadu 2' with his brother Selva Raghavan and Anand L Rai's Hindi movie. He has now officially announced another project and it is none other than the biopic of 'Ilayaraaja'. After 'Killer Miller', he teams up with Arun Matheswaran once again for this biopic.

Dhanush said earlier that he wants to do only two biopics. One is about Ilayaraaja and the other is about superstar Rajnikanth. He expressed his happiness over one of his wishes coming true. The first look poster was launched by Kamal Hassan. Dhanush claims that it will not be a huge pressure for him.

He said, “I'm a fan and a devotee of Ilaiyaraaja. His music is my companion and it suits everyone. More than that, his music is my acting teacher. I used to listen to a song or BGM before a scene – and his music tells me how to act in the scene. That's how I act. Vetri Maaran has seen that. Many say that it's a huge challenge and responsibility. But, I don't think so. I know his music will guide me. He's been there with me and will always be there with me. As an artist, it's an honor to be part of this project. I'm immensely happy that the invite came from Isaignani himself. I'm blessed”

Nirav Shah is the cinematographer while the musical maestro himself will be composing the music for this flick. The shooting will kickstart soon.
