By: Shanaz B Syed | 24 Nov 2025 5:10 PM ISTThat's the saddest day for film lovers as popular former superstar, Bollywood's heartthrob, Dharmendra, passed away at 89. He was survived by his wives, Prakash Kaur, Hema Malini, and his kids, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Eesha Deol, and three others.
Recently, the actor was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, and when the news about his health broke out, the likes of Hema Malini and her daughter Eesha snapped at the media for spreading fake death rumours. But on November 24th, while an ambulance left his house, ace producer-director Karan Johar broke the news that Dharmendra is no more. The funeral is said to be happening at Juhu Crematorium on Monday evening itself.
Ever since Karan Johar broke the news, Bollywood folks and other biggies, old friends have started sharing their tributary messages and memories, while paparazzi caught some celebs heading to Juhu crematorium. Dharmendra was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Desh Ke Gaddar last year. He was also supposed to be part of Ikkis this year with Jaideep Ahlawat. The film’s already in post-production, and he plays Brigadier ML Khetarpal (Retd.) in it.
Over a career spanning six decades, Dharmendra starred in more than 300 films, and he's also a close friend of many top Tollywood stars. Sholay, Dharam Veer, Hukumat, and Phool Aur Patthar are some of his iconic movies.
We have to say that Dharemndra's demise is a tough loss for the family and the film fraternity as well. Tupaki offers heartfelt condolences and hopes his soul finds peace.
