Producer Dheeraj Mogilineni has shared his thoughts on making films for children, the importance of good stories, and the belief that movies do not always need holiday releases to become successful. He is now bringing the Telugu family entertainer Summer Holidays to theatres on November 6, 2026.

Directed by Srikar Nayan G, the film features Rohan Roy, Arun, Baby Khushi, Jayasudha, Vasuki Anand, Rajeev Kanakala, and Harshavardhan in important roles. The film is set in the summer of 2000 and follows a city boy who visits his grandparents' village in the Godavari region during his summer vacation. His friendship with a local newspaper boy leads to several childhood adventures.

Speaking about the film, Dheeraj said that he wanted to make it with high production quality. Dheeraj also spoke about actress Vasuki Anand. He said that seeing her reminded him of his mother. He explained that some people questioned whether audiences would come to theatres to watch a film featuring children.

However, the producer said that Summer Holidays is not just a children's film. He added that is a big film made with children in important roles. He also highlighted that the movie was made without showing violence, blood, or graphic scenes.

Dheeraj shared an interesting point about release dates. He recalled that Venkatesh few films and Nani's Dasara were not released during the festivals suggested by their titles. He believes that a film with a good story can become a hit even without a perfect holiday release.

He also expressed his interest in working with Sree Vishnu in the future. Dheeraj confidently said that he would aim to deliver a film that earns Rs. 100 crore.

With its family-friendly theme and nostalgic village setting, Summer Holidays aims to attract audiences looking for clean entertainment. It remains to be seen how the film performs at the box office after its November 6 release.
