Dhruv Shares How Anupama Helped Telugu Speech Shine
For Dhruv Vikram, stepping into the Telugu industry felt like entering a new classroom where every sound had its own rhythm.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 24 Oct 2025 5:25 PM ISTWords can be tricky things, they behave differently in every language. For Dhruv Vikram, stepping into the Telugu industry felt like entering a new classroom where every sound had its own rhythm. His Tamil film Bison is already creating a stir in Tamil, and during a chat on Suma’s Chaaaat Show, Dhruv casually dropped an interesting bit, his co-star Anupama Parameswaran actually helped him nail his Telugu speech before the promotions kicked off.
Dhruv shared that he first wrote his speech in English, something that came naturally to him. Then, his close friend and filmmaker Shouryuv translated it into Telugu. But here’s where the magic really happened, Anupama stepped in, making sure every word rolled off his tongue just right. She corrected tiny slips, adjusted tones, and added that native spark that makes all the difference. It wasn’t a classroom vibe though, more like a friendly guide helping you not sound like a tourist.
Anupama laughed it off saying Dhruv’s Telugu was already good, and she only tweaked “one or two words here and there.” Still, that little fine-tuning worked wonders. The audience noticed it too, his confidence, the flow, the ease, all of it felt surprisingly natural for a newcomer. It’s a small detail, but it shows Dhruv’s effort to respect the language and the people he’s performing for. Not everyone takes that kind of care.
Dhruv’s dedication doesn’t stop at dialogue either. He revealed that for Bison, he trained over a year and a half just to play Kabaddi convincingly. At one point, he joked that he started loving the sport more than acting itself. Between the gym, the field, and those late-night language notes, Dhruv’s clearly all in. If this is how he starts his Telugu journey, Bison might just turn out to be one of those stories people talk about for a long time.
