'It Has Affected Me': Dhruv Vikram Opens Up

Tamil actor Dhruv Vikram has spoken about the attention surrounding his personal life. The actor recently faced increased public interest after comments made by actress Anupama Parameswaran about a difficult past relationship.

Dhruv did not mention Anupama or any particular relationship while speaking about the issue. However, his comments came at a time when his name has been connected to discussions about Anupama’s past relationship. She had earlier spoken about facing emotional and physical difficulties during a relationship that lasted for around two years.

Speaking at the India Today Tamil Roundtable, Dhruv was asked how he deals with the recent public attention. He admitted that the situation has affected him to some extent.

"If I’m being honest, I can’t say it has never affected me. That said, I think it’s important to anchor yourself in reality. Know who you are, know what you stand for, and protect fiercely everybody that you love and everything that matters to you, or has ever mattered to you before," Dhruv said.

The actor also explained how he tries to stay calm when people discuss his personal life. According to him, knowing the truth and staying connected to the people and things that matter can help a person deal with public judgment.

"When you are aligned with the truth, and when you know what anchors you, scrutiny can only go so far. Subconsciously, you learn to be an army of one. You have your own world; you do the inner work. You protect your bubble as much as you can," he added.

Dhruv was also asked about his limited presence on social media. He is not very active on Instagram and usually shares posts only during film promotions. The actor said this is not because of any special plan.

He revealed that he actually enjoys making videos and edits. He likes filming his father, niece and pets and often creates videos even if he does not post them online.

"I love to make these edits and shoot things. I love to shoot my dad, my niece and my pets. I make a lot of edits, even though I don’t post them," he said.

Dhruv explained that he spends his free time reading or listening to music instead of constantly using social media. He said his activity increases when he has a movie to promote.

Anupama and Dhruv have worked together in director Mari Selvaraj’s Bison Kaalamaadan. Anupama had earlier spoken about a past relationship without naming the person involved. Neither Dhruv nor his representatives have officially confirmed or denied the relationship rumours.
