In the last couple of days, the buzz around Dhurandhar 2 intensified after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), aka Censor Board, delayed the film’s certification. Though everyone knows that the film will be given an “A” Certificate for only 18+ aged viewers to watch, what is so stunning is that the makers were asked to cut more than 24 parts in the movie. But then, the liberals who haven’t liked Dhurandhar in the first place, are finding all of this as an eye-wash move only.

The very same Censor Board that has allowed scenes like mashing the head with an iron-weight, has now gotten serious on the makers and trimmed down many action sequences, which accounted for trimming 6 minutes of the final cut from “Dhurandhar: The Revenge”. Some inside reports say that this is just an eye-wash move by the CBFC, as allowing such scenes in the film will make the voices from Tamil Nadu, those who support TVK Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, knock on the doors of the court. To avoid such legal hassles, they are said to have issued some cuts to Dhurandhar 2.

Well, when the first part of Dhurandhar got released back on December 5th, there was no single buzz around the Censoring of the film or any other aspect of the movie. The movie has just been released in theatres without much expectation, and every single frame and sequence has stunned the audience. No one has worried whether the violence shown in the movie is excessive or not. But now that the first part has gone massive, every single aspect of the second part is getting under the scrutiny blade.
