After a dry February with many films released on the eve of Valentine's Day and other dates, Tollywood has breathed a sigh of relief with movies like Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Dhurandhar 2’s Telugu and Hindi versions. Currently, these films have set the Telugu box office on fire, irrespective of the talk around them as they have minted money in the first weekend and are now looking forward to their second weekend, which also comprises of a set of holidays.

Here's the last week of March. Tollywood is gearing up for Srirama Navami on 26 March, which gives a long weekend to be well utilised starting Thursday. Small movies like Band Melam, and dubbed films like Youth, as well as Happy Raj, are hitting cinemas, with big Telugu distributors backing them. While Happy Raj’s release is deferred by a day, the other films are mostly hitting cinemas on March 26th only. However, how far these films will be able to catch their breath at the box office is the question now.

With Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar’s Ustaad itself struggling to face the music from Dhurandhar 2, can these small films that are hitting cinemas this Friday survive the impact of the Bollywood giant? Because when people are going mad about one particular film that has collected ₹1000 crores gross already, surely they are going to utilise their holiday and ticket money in that direction only. We have to see if these small films will get attention or not.
