Talk: Annapurna’s Studios Made Dhurandhar 2 Special

Usually, when films are dubbed into Telugu, native Telugu writers settled in Chennai or Mumbai handle the dubbing. That is the reason why we see a lot of bookish Telugu, non-colloquial language, and unused words being used in the dialogues of those dubbed movies.

However, the makers of Dhurandhar 2 have taken a different route by assigning the dubbing and localisation work to Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Perhaps the dubbed voice of Sanjay Dutt, the voice of Arjun Rampal, and the whole dialogue in the Dhurandhar 2 trailer sound perfectly like the original version because of Annapurna Studios' involvement. We have to see if Annapoorna will continue this for other big-ticket, Hindi, and Tamil movies as well, so that the Telugu audience will experience some originality in the dubbing movies.

With this kind of job done, surely, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Telugu version, is going to create a carnage at the box office. As the film gets down to hit cinemas on March 19 on a grand scale, already, it has made more than ₹8 crores in collection from the Premier show tickets, while the Premiere is almost 10 days away.
