Toxic vs Dhurandhar 2: Who will suffer ?

The Bollywood box office is getting ready for a big clash. Two large films, Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic, are set to release on the same day, March 19. Because both films have huge expectations, the competition is expected to be very intense.

Dhurandhar was a massive success in Bollywood. The first part was released only in Hindi but it surprised everyone by collecting nearly Rs 1250 crore worldwide. This time, the sequel is planned as a multi-language release targeting audiences all over India and overseas.

The main issue now is screen sharing. Since both films are big releases, theatres will have to divide screens between them. Trade experts say this could affect the opening collections, especially in India. Even a good film can suffer if it does not get enough screens.

Many analysts feel that Toxic may get more screens due to Yash’s pan-India appeal. At the same time, if Dhurandhar 2 delivers strong content, it can still perform well despite the competition.

However there are also talks that Toxic mat postpone and give way to Dhurandhar 2. If it happens, then Dhuardhar would get great advantage.
