The entire news turns out to be an April 1st joke, but many people have already started sharing it as if it is real. In recent times, we have seen multiple fake announcements going viral, especially around big films. Even during films like Salaar and Adipurush, several edited posters and false release updates spread widely before clarifications came in. For Varanasi also, more than the original content shared by SS Rajamouli, the fan edits have gone viral. At the same time, the craze around Dhurandhar is so high that anything related to it is getting instant traction.
