Later, Siddharth teamed up with Dil Raju for movies like Bommarillu, while Trisha became that big glamorous starlet here. After both their careers have faded in Tollywood, we hear that producer Dil Raju is bringing them back for a film that also features another young couple as the leads. As the whole promotional angle of this movie depends on Siddhu-Trisha pairing, let's have a look at what would happen if things go south.
Siddharth and Trisha Krishnan coming back together after Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana is not just nostalgia. It’s a calculated move by Dil Raju that nearly two decades later, bringing that pairing back will revive memories of the-then teens, and bring attention to the project. However, Siddharth has been struggling to find a clean hit in Telugu for a long time now. Trisha, on the other hand, is busy but also facing the “last phase” talk. In between, Dil Raju steps in with a new director, a fresh setup, and a story that reportedly travels abroad for the entire shoot.
But here’s the catch. Nostalgia works only when the emotion still feels fresh. Otherwise, it becomes a reminder of how good things used to be. That’s a dangerous space. Back in the day, Bommarillu worked not because of casting, but because of writing. If this film is relying only on the Siddharth–Trisha factor, it won’t go far. Today’s audience needs more than familiarity. And Dil Raju is not even coming up wtih content that would click, in the recent times, so he’s riding on a tricky space yet again.
