Recent developments in the business of Prabhas' movies in Nizam suggest that Dil Raju is reluctant to take significant financial risks.
It's been reported that, even for Prabhas' previous film, Dil Raju engaged in negotiations that ultimately fell through. Dil Raju's reputation in Nizam as a major buyer of big films is well established. However, the underwhelming results of recent pan india releases may have led him to reevaluate his investment strategies for such projects.
In the case of Prabhas' Adipurush, Dil Raju was initially interested in distribution. However, at the time of the film's release, the makers quoted a hefty 60Cr ratio deal, with 50Cr being labeled as Non-Refundable. Consequently, Dil Raju chose to withdraw from the project.
Similar circumstances have arisen with Salaar, with reports indicating that the makers are demanding 70Cr for the Nizam rights on a Non-Refundable Advance (NRA) basis. Dil Raju, due to the high asking price, has once again decided not to be a part of the deal.
Mythri Movie Makers are reportedly in the final stages of negotiations for Salaar's Nizam rights. This shift in Dil Raju's approach reflects the changing dynamics in the Telugu film industry, where distributors are becoming more cautious with their investments in big ticket films.
