It is already known that the President of United States, Donald Trump imposed a ban on truckers visa temporarily. This is due to the recent incident in Florida, where a reckless truck driver caused a fat accident that claimed the lives of 3 Americans.

In this context, this decision from Trump has now started to directly affect as many as 30,000 Indian truckers who had been in operation in the United States.

The United States has stopped giving work visas to foreign truck drivers after a serious road accident in Florida involving an Indian driver. This decision was announced by the Trump administration as part of a wider review of U.S. work visas.

This move has created big problems for Indian drivers, especially those from Punjab and Haryana. Around 30,000 Indians were working or planning to work as truckers in the U.S. These jobs were very attractive because drivers could earn between ₹40 lakh and ₹90 lakh a year. Now, with the visas on hold, many families who were depending on this income are facing uncertainty.

Indian political leaders have also raised the issue. They urged the Indian government to talk with U.S. officials and protect the interests of Indian workers. Leaders also said it was unfair to punish thousands of drivers for the mistake of one person.

For many Indian families, this ban has created fear, financial stress, and broken dreams of a better life abroad. It has to be seen if Trump would take it easy and dilute this ban in the near future or whether he would uphold the same.
