Puri & Co Hit Jackpot With 'Double Ismart' Rights!

Dashing director Puri Jagannadh is trying to make a strong comeback with 'Double Ismart'. He took some time after a disaster like 'Liger' and he is arriving this August 15th with a solid commercial entertainer. He teamed up with energetic hero Ram Pothineni and readied the sequel of 'Ismart Shankar'. The shooting has been wrapped up already and he is now focusing on the post-production works.

The promotions are in full flow as the teaser and first song 'Steppa Maar' generated a good response from the masses. The second song is coming out on 16th June and the movie managed to generate a very good buzz prior to its release. According to reports, the makers have hit a jackpot with the theatrical rights of 'Double Ismart'. PrimeShow Entertainment banner which produced 'Hanu-Man' has bought the theatrical rights of 'Double Ismart' for a huge rate.

Excluding the Hindi version, the theatrical rights of 'Double Ismart' were reportedly sold for a whopping 60 crores. While 6 crores is a recoverable advance, the other 54 crores are non-recoverable advances. As we know, the Hindi version of 'Ismart Shankar' was a huge hit as well and the rights to its sequel are expected to go for a massive rate. It looks like Puri and Charmme are going to end up in profits even before the film's release.

Kavya Thapar is the heroine in this film. Sanjay Dutt will be seen as the main villain in the movie. Mani Sharma is the music composer. It is going to be a Pakka mass commercial entertainer that will pull the youth as well as the B&C center audience. Charmme and Puri are bankrolling this film. Hollywood cinematographer Gianni Giannelli is working for this high-voltage action entertainer. Kecha is the action choreographer. The movie will have a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
