'Double Ismart' Hits Bull's Eye On Day 1!

Dashing director Puri Jagannadh and Ustaad Ram Pothineni have teamed up after a blockbuster 'Ismart Shankar' for 'Double Ismart'. It released on 15th August and there were decent expectations on it. Despite the lack of strong content and loudness in the film, the brand image of Puri and the craze of Ram helped the film in getting strong openings.

On the first day, 'Double Ismart' collected a total share of 7.30 crores. The gross collections worldwide were 12.45 crores. The movie did not have any premieres but it minted over 55 lakhs from the overseas market. The collections from Karnataka and Rest Of India summed up to 65 lakhs.

Coming to the two Telugu states, the movie amassed a share of 6.10 crores. It minted 2.49 crores from the Nizam area while it got 90 lakhs from the Ceeded region. Uttarandhra region brought 76 lakhs while the collections from East and West Godavari amounted to 69 lakhs. It minted 70 lakhs from Guntur while it got 38 lakhs from Krishna. The collections from Nellore were 20 lakhs.

Ram's energetic avatar, mass scenes, and Sanjay Dutt's presence are the biggest advantages along with Mani Sharma's music. The outdated Puri mark story and his narration proved to be the minus points. The excessive glamour and dialogues that cater to youth have brought in the masses.
