In a recent podcast, Dr. Guruva Reddy, the MD of KIMS-Sunshine Hospitals, expressed his concerns about a hospital scene in Chiranjeevi's film Tagore. He stated that it has negatively impacted the healthcare sector and criticized the portrayal of doctors, arguing that it fosters distrust among patients.

“Whoever wrote that scene has done immense harm. The depiction has led to a situation where nobody trusts doctors anymore. While it's true that a small percentage of doctors may act unethically and exploit patients, the film exaggerated these aspects,” Dr. Reddy said.

“I challenge the film's writers to experience a day in our shoes under such stressful conditions. They wouldn't last even a day. We perform thankless jobs,” he added.

Dr. Reddy mentioned his friendship with Chiranjeevi, saying he has been a guest at the actor's home multiple times. He shared his feelings with Chiranjeevi about how the scene in Tagore disrupted the peace of mind of medical professionals, noting that the scene was initially more extreme but was toned down at Chiranjeevi's request.

Tagore is a remake of the Tamil film Ramana, initially directed by A.R. Murugadoss, and was helmed by VV Vinayak for the Telugu version.
