George kutty Is Coming Back With Drishyam 4

The much-loved Drishyam franchise is going to continue. Georgekutty, played by Mohanlal, is all set to return once again. The makers have officially announced Drishyam 4, creating excitement among fans of the franchise.

There were already many rumours about another Drishyam movie after the release of Drishyam 3. However, fans were not sure whether the team would actually make another part. Now, those doubts have ended. Producer Antony Perumbavoor has officially confirmed that Drishyam 4 is in development.

Antony Perumbavoor made the announcement at the Manorama Entertainment Awards event. Director Jeethu Joseph was also present beside him during the announcement. He confirmed that Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal will come together again for the next part of the Drishyam franchise. Mohanlal also attended the event.

The first Drishyam movie was released in 2013 and became a huge success. The Malayalam thriller received great appreciation from audiences and became one of the most popular thriller films in Indian cinema. Its success was so big that the movie was remade in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada. It was also remade in some other languages.

Drishyam 2 was released directly on OTT in 2021. It also received a strong response from viewers. The movie continued the story of Georgekutty and his family and once again showed Jeethu Joseph's ability to create suspense.

However, Drishyam 3 had a different journey. The movie was released on May 21 this year, but it did not have the same level of buzz before release. After its release, the film received mixed reviews. Some viewers felt that the story was stretched too much and that it did not have the same thrill as the earlier movies.

Still, the film reportedly earned around Rs. 240 crore worldwide. Its box-office performance seems to have encouraged the makers to continue the franchise.

Mohanlal had recently spoken about his upcoming projects and mentioned that he would work with Jeethu Joseph again. Now, it looks clear that the project could be Drishyam 4.

The biggest question is simple: What more can Georgekutty do? Fans will now be curious to see what new twist Jeethu Joseph creates for the next chapter.
