Drishyam Franchise: Confusion In Telugu & Hindi

Recently, we have seen the release of Mohanlal’s “Drishyam 3” in Malayalam, and the makers confirmed that director Jeethu Joseph will be directing Drishyam 4 as well, with Mohanlal in the lead. However, the same kind of excitement is not being given to the fans of this thriller series in Telugu and Hindi. Here’s an interesting snippet.

Apparently, the makers of the Hindi version of Drishyam confirmed that Ajay Devgan’s Drishyam 3 will be the last film in the franchise before the actor calls it quits. In Telugu, it’s coming out that senior hero Venkatesh is not even interested in doing the Drishyam series any more, after doing two films already. That means Drishyam 2 is the last film in the series, which was released directly on OTT in 2021.

Well, it looks like both Venkatesh and Ajay Devgan are looking forward to some high-budget action thrillers from Jeethu Joseph, but not the low-budget “Drishyam” series; hence, they are opting out of it. Even Jeethu Joseph is said to have got upset with these proceedings; hence, he too is claiming that he doesn’t want to direct any hero other than Mohanlal for this franchise.
