However getting paid for their work is also an important part of their profession. A recent statement by famous percussionist and music director Drums Sivamani has brought attention to this issue.
On November 4, 2026, Drums Sivamani visited Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. After his darshan, he spoke to the media and shared an interesting incident involving a Hyderabad-based music director.
Sivamani shared that a music director from Hyderabad has not paid his pending dues for the past three years. He said that he has been waiting for his payment for a long time. However, the issue has still not been resolved.
Sivamani reportedly expressed his frustration in a unique way. Instead of revealing the music director's name publicly, he said that he had complained to Lord Venkateswara about the issue.
He explained that musicians work very hard to create music and deserve to receive their payments on time. When someone fails to pay them for their work, it becomes a serious problem for those who depend on music for their livelihood.
Meanwhile, Sivamani is busy with his upcoming projects. He recently sought blessings for his global devotional music tour titled Karma Burn.
He also worked on background score for the ambitious film Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The project features music by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer with Sivamani also contributing to the background score.
Meanwhile Telugu netizens are busy searching for a Telugu music director name with whom this musician recently worked.
