Kaantha Day 1 Box Office: Exceptional Start

Dulquer Salmaan is on a huge success streak in Telugu with three back to back blockbusters. Now, his next film Kaantha also starring Bhagyashri Borse, Samuthirakani in leading roles and Rana Daggubati in a prominent role took a big start worldwide.

The movie directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, released yesterday to critical acclaim and audiences have been raving about the performances of Dulquer Salmaan and Rana, while Bhagyashri Borse became a pleasant surprise.

Trade analysts are surprised to see Rs.10.5 crores+ gross worldwide for the film on Day 1. Normally, such period drama films tend to open low and then pick up as the word of mouth spreads. But Kaantha took a double digit opening showcasing its strong promotional campaign.

Dulquer Salmaan's performance is being revered like anything and Telugu version is trending high on Saturday with family audiences willing to watch in theatres. Rana Daggubati and DQ also produced the film and they are happy with the critical and commercial reception.
