Dulquer Salman Kaantha Reveals The Dark Side of Cinema

Dulquer Salmaan who has captured the hearts of Telugu audiences is back with another promising film Kaantha. Dulquer has already proved his performance in films like Mahanati and Sita Ramam and now he is set to add Kaantha to his list of impressive films. Dulquer is also producing it alongside Rana Daggubati and two others.

As per the teaser released today, the movie slated for release on September 12 is set in the post independence era during the golden age of Telugu cinema. The story revolves around a director (played by Samuthirakani) who decides to make a horror film titled Shanta with his disciple (Dulquer Salmaan) as the protagonist. However as the two get closer then an ego clash erupts between them. Adding fuel to the fire is a beautiful actress (Bhagyashree Borse) who plays the female lead.

The tension between the director and the hero builds eventually leading to a public confrontation where the hero declares that the film's name will not be Shanta but Kaantha. This announcement triggers a series of events that keep the audience hooked to the storyline.

The teaser released today gives us a glimpse of the old time setting by giving a unique flavor in the storytelling. Dulquer and Samuthirakani's performances are expected to be a highlight of the film.
