Mahesh Babu gets summons: Here�s Why!

The general perception of superstar, Mahesh Babu is that he is one of the cleanest family heroes in Tollywood. He is not involved in any sort of controversies, nor does he like too much exposure in the public forum and likes to keep his presence very private.

But in a shocking turn of events, it is being established that Mahesh Babu has received Sammons from the enforcement directorate with regard to a real estate promotion that has gone horribly wrong.

According to the latest reports, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday summoned Mahesh Babu to appear for investigation on April 28 in connection with probes into alleged money laundering by two Hyderabad real estate groups accused of defrauding buyers.

Mahesh Babu had allegedly endorsed dubious projects of Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group. According to sources in ED, he had received Rs 5.9 crore for endorsing projects of Sai Surya Developers.

Of this, Rs 3.4 crore was paid through cheque and 2.5 crore by cash. ED officials suspect the cash component forms part of laundered mo collected through fraudulent practices.

The primary allegation against this company is that they cheated their buyers. The entities allegedly collected crores in advance from unsuspecting buyers by offering plots in unauthorised layouts, making multiple sales of the same plots, and providing false registration assurances.
