Elections Date To Effect Huge Effect On 'Kalki 2898 AD'!

The election dates have been revealed. Along with Lok Sabha, the assembly election dates for states like Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh have also been announced by the Election Commission. These elections are going to take place in 7 phases. The first phase is on 19th April and the last one will be held on 1st June. The elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for both Lok Sabha and Assembly will take place on 13th May. The results will be out on 4th June.

As expected, the elections will happen in the summer. After the Sankranti season, the summer is the second biggest season for movie releases. With the students getting a lot of holidays, many filmmakers plan to release their films during this period. People are fully focused on exams right now and they will be free by the end of this month.

The summer season in Tollywood started with 'Gaami' and it is going well with good talk. 'Tillu Square' is expected to arrive on 29th March while Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur's 'The Family Star' will be hitting the screens on 5th April. On 12th April, Vikram's 'Thangalaan' will be released and Suhas' 'Sriranga Neethulu' will be released before 19th April.

The first phase of elections will begin on 19th April and Kollywood hero Vishal is arriving with action entertainer 'Rathnam' on 26th April. Allari Naresh's 'Aa Okkati Adakku' will be arriving during the same week. Tollywood's most-awaited project 'Kalki 2898 AD' will be hitting the screens on May 9th.

Starring huge names like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in the lead roles, it is the biggest movie to be made in India. This science fiction film set in a dystopian world is directed by Nag Ashwin. But the elections in Telugu states will happen just four days after its release. This makes it tough for the movie to release on the announced date. With the final election date officially arriving, the makers will not take any risk considering its budget.

After June 4th which is the counting day, biggies like 'Double Ismart', Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2', Nani's 'Saripodha Sanivaaram', Pawan's 'OG', NTR's 'Devara', Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel' and others are arriving. But it is Prabhas' gigantic film 'Kalki 2898 AD' which is going to be mainly affected by the elections. The shooting is happening at a brisk pace and we need to see if it gets postponed or not. If the release date is pushed back, it is going to be very tough to find a good release date as the above-mentioned movies have already locked their dates. We need to wait and see what happens.
