ETV Win, which has been quietly surprising everyone with its solid picks lately, is all set to drop another one. After the cute little success of Little Hearts, made on a small budget but with a big heart, they’re now gearing up for Raju Weds Rambai. And according to ETV Win Content Head Nithiin, this one’s going to hit right in the feels.
Back in 2004, movies like Ghajini, Premisthe, and 7G Brundavan Colony made people believe in love again. Fast forward 20 years, Baby did something similar in 2023. Now, without waiting that long this time, Raju Weds Rambai is coming within just two years. It’s got that old-school emotion mixed with today’s tone, the kind of love story that feels familiar but still fresh.
This film comes from Sailu Kampati, with the ever-talented Venu Udugula, the guy behind Needi Nadi Oke Katha and Virata Parvam, stepping in as producer for the first time. He’s teamed up with Rahul Mopidevi and ETV Win under Dolamukhi Subaltern Films and Monsoons Tales. The leads, Akhil and Tejaswi Rao, look promising, and the glimpses released so far give off a warm, earthy vibe that people instantly connect to.
The movie’s set to release worldwide on November 21. It’s said to be based on real incidents from the border villages of Warangal and Khammam. The team dropped a poster with the line, “Celebrate a great love story that defies all obstacles.” Feels like a movie with some real heart behind it. After Little Hearts, expectations are naturally high, and if the buzz is anything to go by, Raju Weds Rambai might just turn into that next small-town love story everyone keeps talking about.
