Akhtar stresses that cinema plays a major role in shaping attitudes, especially among boys who look up to film stars.

As a filmmaker and social advocate, he urges the industry to take responsibility and create healthier portrayals of relationships. He reminds creators that strong stories can entertain without promoting harmful behavior.
