8 Films In The Race For Sankranti Season!

It is without a doubt that the Sankranti season is considered the ideal time for movie releases. It has the capacity to hold 2 to 3 big films and a few small-budget flicks too. We see a lot of filmmakers trying to lock the release dates beforehand in order to avoid competition. But we see a lot of films competing for the same release dates and stopping each other's box office prospects.

With Sankranti season arriving soon, we are looking at 8 crazy projects arriving during the same time. The biggest of the lot of superstar Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Karam'. This mass commercial drama is being directed by Trivikram and it is going to get the majority of theatres across the Telugu states. The makers announced that it will release on 12th January six months earlier.

Now, Ravi Teja's 'Eagle' too announced its arrival on 13th January. It is a complete action drama and we will see Venkatesh's 'Saindhav' releasing on the same day as well. There are reports that Vijay Deverakonda's 'Family Star' will hit the screens at the same time. All these three heroes competing on the same day is going to create a lot of chaos.

Teja Sajja's supernatural drama 'Hanu-Man' is releasing on either the 13th or 14th of January and Nagarjuna's 'Naa Saami Ranga' is also eyeing at a Sankranti release through the exact date has to be confirmed. There are two dubbing films releasing during the same time. Siva Karthikeyan's 'Ayalaan' and Dhanush's 'Captain Miller' are aiming to hit the screens and it is going to be very tough for the distributors and exhibitors to find enough theatres to screen all these 8 movies.
