By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Dec 2023 3:57 AM GMTAdivi Sesh, the rising Pan India star known for hits like 'Hit 2' and 'Major,' has spilled the beans on upcoming projects, including the eagerly awaited 'Goodhachari 2' (G2) and a high-octane action drama featuring Shruti Haasan. The actor who celebrates his birthday today shared insights into his journey and offered a tantalizing glimpse of the intense cinematic experiences awaiting audiences soon.
Q: How was 2023 for you, Adivi Sesh?
A: 2023 was spent in preparation. Along with 'Goodhachari 2,' Shruti Haasan and I have been working on our upcoming film, investing time in writing and preparation.
Q: It seems there was no film from you in 2023. Any specific reason?
A: It doesn't matter. Every actor has his own pace. It's essential to focus on quality rather than quantity. The two films coming next year will be back-to-back.
Q: How has your journey been so far?
A: Enjoying the journey is more important than measuring how far we've come. For a long time, I was in a rush. Now, I want to feel it, not put too much pressure on anything.
Q: How do you feel about the shift from budget constraints to an open market?
A: It's a pleasure, all possible due to the love shown by the audience. It's a delight to see our hard work being recognized.
Q: Are all your films going to be released in Hindi?
A: It depends on the subject. 'Goodhachari 2' is a massive film set in five countries, believed to appeal to the Hindi audience. The film with Shruti Haasan will be released separately in Hindi and Telugu.
Q: How was your experience with 'Major,' and are you still in touch with Sandeep Unni Krishnan's family?
A: In the journey for 'Major', his parents became a family to me. I went to Mumbai on 26/11 and spent the day with them.
Q: As a writer and actor, how do you manage the two roles?
A: Sometimes there's a dilemma, but it's essential not to let the writer's perspective interfere while acting. I prefer acting and writing; directing is not my forte.
Q: Can you share some insights into 'Goodhachari 2' and potential sequels?
A: 'Goodhachari 2' begins in snowy hills, and I had this in mind while planning the sequel. But the audience needs to demand a sequel for it to happen.
Q: You've been particular about the choice of movies. Is it true you recently rejected a big offer?
A: Good movies matter more than money. I focus on how the audience feels while watching the film. I've been doing selective films, successful or not.
Q: Can you tell us about your upcoming film with Shruti Haasan?
A: It's a very intense action love story, highly emotional and in a new genre.
Finally, Sesh revealed the decision to introduce Shaneel Deo as a director for their collaborative project, saying he was impressed by Deo's work on a short film that was selected for the Cannes Film Festival.
