Guntur Kaaram Postmortem: What Naga Vamsi Said?

It is already known that Guntur Kaaram is one of the most prestigious projects conceived and executed by Trivikram and producer Naga Vamsi. Vamsi sounded extremely surprised about the fact that the film got brutal trolled on social media after the theatrical release.

“I don’t know why that film got told so very badly on social media for the first couple of days. I don’t know if we loved the film too much for it to be received in such a manner by the audience. But it was surprising to see the kind of trolling that happened on this film.” Vamsi stated.

He admitted that releasing the film with a premiere at 1 a.m. was a mistake. According to him, such late-night shows work for action-packed commercial films but not for emotional, family-oriented dramas like Guntur Kaaram. He added that this unusual release timing may have affected the family audience turnout.

Naga Vamsi also dismissed the idea that the film was completely controlled by Mahesh Babu. He emphasized that it was a collaborative effort between Mahesh and director Trivikram Srinivas. Both were deeply involved in shaping the screenplay, tone, and emotional impact of the film.

He acknowledged that criticism is part of the industry but felt the team gave their best. Fans on social media have praised his honesty and transparency, even if sometimes controversial. Overall, he stood firm that Guntur Kaaram had its strengths and was satisfied with how it fared despite the negativity.
