Producer Naga Vamsi has made interesting comments about Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi. Both movies were directed by Trivikram Srinivas. His latest comments are now getting attention on social media.

Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi was released in 2018. The movie had huge expectations before its release because of the combination of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram. However, the film did not meet those expectations. After its release, it received a poor response from the audience and became a major disappointment at the box office.

Years later, Mahesh Babu and Trivikram came together again for Guntur Kaaram. The movie was released during the Sankranti season in 2024. It also had very high expectations because of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s combination.

However, Guntur Kaaram received a mixed response from the audience. While the movie had some successful moments, it could not reach the level of success that many expected from a Mahesh Babu film.

Now, Naga Vamsi has spoken about the negativity around Guntur Kaaram. According to him, a negative situation was created around the movie during the release of Hanuman, starring Teja Sajja.

At that time, there was a lot of discussion about theatre allocation. Some people claimed that Hanuman was not getting enough theatres while Guntur Kaaram was getting more screens. This created a perception that a small film was being affected because of a big-star movie.

Naga Vamsi has now said that this negative scenario was created deliberately. His comments have once again brought the old theatre controversy into the spotlight.

Interestingly, Hanuman went on to become a big success. The Prasanth Varma directorial received strong support from audiences and performed very well at the box office. The success of the film became one of the major talking points during the Sankranti season.

Naga Vamsi’s comparison has therefore created a new discussion among Telugu cinema fans. While Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi did not work as expected, Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram had a mixed journey.
