Guntur Kaaram : Mahesh Babu's Film Claims No.1 Spot

Trivikram Srinivas' latest outing, "Guntur Kaaram," starring Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela, has taken the digital world by storm, claiming the top spot on Netflix's trending list globally. Despite a mixed reception initially, the film's remarkable success in theaters, crossing the ₹257 crore mark worldwide, underscored Mahesh Babu's unparalleled star power. Now the film's success has extended beyond theatres, with acquiring top spot in OTT as well.

Mahesh Babu's portrayal of Ramanagadu, coupled with the film's compelling narrative, has resonated deeply with audiences worldwide and is making everyone to watch the film in Netflix.

During time of its release in theatres, despite facing competition from multiple releases, "Guntur Kaaram" amassed around ₹124.82 crore net in India within 23 days and approximately ₹177.67 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk.com. This achievement solidified Trivikram and Mahesh duo's successful collaboration, marking their third film together after "Athadu" and "Khaleja." Now their duo is doing magic in OTT as well.

The storyline, revolving around Ramana's (Mahesh) quest for truth after being estranged from his politician mother (Ramya Krishnan), adds a familial touch to the film, surprising fans who expected a mass entertainer. Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary contribute to the narrative, portraying love interest and cousin roles, respectively. Thaman S' musical composition for the film received criticism, with the exception of the track "Dum Masala," but it did not hinder the overall success and impact of "Guntur Kaaram" on both the box office and digital streaming platforms.
