'Guntur Karam' Affecting Other Sankranti Releases!

Superstar Mahesh Babu has an enormous craze among the public. He doesn't make a lot of public appearances like other heroes and prefers to be with his family which may lead to people assuming that he is only one of the many stars in Tollywood. But he is a cut above the rest as he is the only hero to constantly deliver 125+ crore films which got mixed response and were not released on a pan-Indian level. The number of people who turned up at the pre-release event of 'Animal' is a small glimpse of his craze among the youth.

After a long time, he is arriving with a complete mass entertainer like 'Guntur Karam'. Also, this film marks the return of 'Athadu' and 'Khaleja' combo. These two films have a special place in everyone's hearts and the hero-director duo of Mahesh and Trivikram are aiming at a hattrick with 'Guntur Karam'. The film is releasing on 12th January 2024 and they announced this date long back in order to avoid competition. But a lot of movies got ready to hit the screens around the same time as 'Guntur Karam'. No one knows if it's the confidence in their content or miscalculation but other releases took this bold route.

But trade sources reveal that Sankranti releases of senior heroes and a few junior heroes are getting the desired rates. As per reports, the exhibitors and distributors are showing 'Guntur Karam' as the main reason for it. The unreal hype on the movie may not bring a lot of revenue to other releases. Many say that the release date of these flicks will be pushed further back as the Sankranti season approaches. Let us wait and see if it happens or not.
