Trailer Talk: Pooja & Mrunal’s Glam Up Varun’s Film

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is the upcoming film that features Varun Dhawan in the lead, and is directed by his father, David Dhawan. The most important feature of the film is that it features both the struggling heroines, Pooja Hegde and Murnal Thakur, in an ultra-glamour avatar. While the songs have already gone viral on the internet, especially with the ‘Wow’ song becoming a chartbuster, here’s how the trailer is.

The trailer of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is finally out, and it looks like the film is a hilarious ride. An estranged husband, Varun, loves to impregnate his wife, played by Mrunal Thakur, and as she’s not interested in kids, she seeks a divorce. Later, when the hero falls in love with another girl, Pooja Hegde, she gets pregnant even before getting married. Now the wife comes back saying she’s also carrying a child. The trailer has lots of jokes, cringeworthy elements, and glamour. Both Pooja and Mrunal competed with each other in the glam department, unlike their previous comments about not being interested in glamorous roles.

On the other hand, all the remix songs and the new songs in this film have struck a chord with the youth. But then, the film is hitting cinemas on June 5th, a day after “Peddi” arrives in theatres. In the mass pockets of the North, the film might not find as much attention, as its urban appeal is quite high due to its London backdrop. When these two factors are combined, the film would feel pressure in mass centres, but might get admired in A-centres, if the reviews are good.
