HHVM: Ball Is In Amazon’s Court Now!

It has already been reported that big budget period action film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which has Pawan Kalyan in the lead role was supposed to release in theatres on June 4. But the film is getting postponed now due to financial complications as producer, Ratnam is unable to procure funds on time for the release.

Now that it is confirmed that the film will be postponed and released on a later date, it is heard that Amazon prime video has significant say in the upcoming developments.

Reportedly Amazon prime as likely to enforce a cut in the pay for this film due to the fact that they are unable to release in theatres in June, which was proposed earlier. On top of that, there are multiple other dates that are being considered for the film.

As of now, it is being reported that July 4 and 11 are being seen as the two optimal release dates for the film. But we have Vijay Deverakonda who is arriving with his upcoming film Kingdom on July 4, so this date could be ruled out for now.

There are several complications in finalising the upcoming release date for this Pawan Kalyan film and it has to be seen how Amazon prime video would react to the same.

Amazon prime will have to take the final call on the release date of this film based on their upcoming slate of films. It is the OTT platform which will be deciding the release date of this film rather than the producer, and this is primarily due to the OTT that is in place for the film.
